Dump Truck Driver Killed Slamming Into Embankment: Lehigh County Coroner

A dump truck driver has died after slamming into an embankment, the Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio announced on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

David Brown, 68, of North Whitehall Township, was driving a dump truck when it struck an embankment in the 2700 block of Valley Road, Coroner Buglio detailed in the release.

The crash happened at 2:03 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to the coroner's office. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:07 p.m.

The cause of death was listed as "Blunt Force Injuries Due to Motor Vehicle Collision" and the manner of death was "Accident," Buglio said following an autopsy on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The Pennsylvania State Police Bethlehem Station is investigating, according to the coroner's office.
